Every living thing on this earth, big or small, light or dark, is still made primarily of DNA. Those magical swirly, colourful strings you always see on TV. It doesn't matter that we have marrow, red blood cells or platelets ; None of those would matter if we didn't have DNA. What we are and who we are are determined by our DNA structure. Tinker around with it a little, and that beautiful little rose bush becomes a tyrannosaurus rex.

Okay, maybe that would require A LOT of tinkering, but the bottom line is that when something changes at the very foundation, even a small switch causes huge repurcussions on many other levels. Think of it as the chaos theory, where an ant changing the course of its run manages to indirectly cause a hurricane in the Bahamas. Ever had something on one area of your life, be it a death in the family, a loss in a final or a sad breakup, affect you on a 24-hourly basis?

It's pretty simple, really. Don't let anything affect your focus and you'll be all right.
